1922 Society Of Military Engineers Medal Named/ Engraved to Captain Rare. One if the earliest examples of this medal you will ever find. This one is beautifully engraved to 1st Lt (later captain) Charles M Cutmore. With his name the societies name and the date of issue with a flourish engraved underneath. This is the most detailed engraving i have ever seen on one of these. Cutmore appears to have made the rank of captain though i cant seem to find out if he served in WW1 or WW2 or both which im assuming he died. A rare historic piece in need of more research! Founded in only 1920 this medal was awarded only 2 years into the society.. SAME or the Society of American Military Engineers still exists today. Very rare original bronze medal from very early in a historic society! Dont miss out!.
