    Description

    1929 -1/2 Indian Quarter Gold Eagle, Uncirculated, certified PCGS MS-60 in a first gen Rattler holder.  Typical conservative period grading, this is more like today's MS-62.  No really heavy marks or stains, just the typical light scuffing.  A couple of tiny "blips" may be visible in our images - these are not on the coin but pieces of the gasket material trapped inside the holder.  The outer surface of the holder shows some scuffing typical of it's age - these can be polished out by the new owner, with some care, should they choose to.  Considering that a "generic" certified Unc coin will run you 0+ in a modern PCGS/NGC holder, this opportunity bears consideration for the historical nature of the holder itself.
