AMBCO 2500 AUDIOMETER W POWER, PRINTER & HEADPHONES! This unit is being sold AS IS and NO RETURNS will be accepted - so please read details below and view all pix intently.
You will receive the exact items pictured.
To begin, the Ambco 2500 is in need of calibration. When first powered on it states 'Calibration Due' and gives an audible tone - upon hitting 'resume' it goes to 'Ambco 2500' and then the serial number... Then it goes to 'System Check' - and I am unable to advance any further.
In referencing the manual online, it states "If calibration is older than 1 year, you may override the error by pressing any button. Only a limited number of calibration overrides are allowed before the 2500 will stop operating completely. Please have your 2500 calibrated as soon as possible."
It is my assumption that the unit has utilized all its overrides and is therefor not advancing further... but as I am not certain that this is the problem - and as I am unable to test the unit further - it is being sold AS IS and NO RETURNS will be accepted.
The Ambco 2500 is in overall very good solid aesthetic condition. There are a few little nicks or dings - but overall nice shape with no cracks, no writing or etching and no other noteworthy wear or damage.
Power supply is a Calrad 45-763 / DV-1280 - 12VDC power supply which does power the unit up - as shown.
Thermal Printer is a Seiko SII DPU-414. It includes a connector cable but does NOT INCLUDE A POWER CORD - there is also a compartment that looks as though it may accommodate a special battery - but one is not present. Because we are unable to power up the printer, we have not tested this unit. There is a near complete roll of paper loaded in the unit. Unit is in very good aesthetic condition - as shown.
I do not find a brand or model # on the headphones - even after removing the covers. The frame is a Western Electric HB-7. The only other numbers present are 02/86 on each of the headphones. Please see pix.
