Antique Travel Luggage Leather Suitcase

I have up for sale a wonderful antique circa 1880s - Early 1900s leather suitcase with brass Eagle Lock Co - Terryville, Ct USA . The suitcase roughly measures 26" long , 9" tall, 14" deep -weighs approx 13 lbs 8 ounces.   Besides the  handle/grip side pieces being badly worn the rest of the suitcase is in pretty decent shape considering the age. There is some discoloration to the leather but its got a wonderful look just the same.  I believe this to be cowhide as its super thick . I am not an expert and can not say for sure but this was a high quality made piece in its day.   Its unbranded as far as I can see - I see no markings to indicate the maker.
The inside is very nice and was obviously made to hold all sorts of accoutrements . There is wear and imperfections - this is an old used piece.
When I got the suitcase , I opened one of the side compartments and there were a number of calling cards from the original owner. They do not signify has trade or business but does have his name -  CLARENCE A. NOHR.
As noted the leather covering for the handle/grip is very worn but its structurally sound . I would simply cut off the covering if I were to keep it.  I do not have the key for the lock but the trigger for the latch works find. The straps are both in good shape as well. As you can see the lock and latches are brass which would indicate its an early piece. The stitching is gorgeous.
ONLY THROW OUT THE BOXES AND PACKAGING AFTER YOU HAVE INSPECTED THE ITEM OR ITEMS AND FIND NO DAMAGE other than what may be noted in the condition report or shown in the pics.
IN THE RARE EVENT YOU RECEIVED THE ITEM AND IT IS DAMAGED  -CONTACT ME ASAP -  KEEP THE BOX AND ALL PACKAGING MATERIALS JUST AS THE ITEM ARRIVED AS THEY WOULD BE NEEDED TO HELP PROCESS THE INSURANCE CLAIM.  YOU WOULD BE REQUIRED TO HELP WITH THE INSURANCE CLAIM . SAVE THE BOX AND ALL PACKAGING ,PICS OF THE OUTER BOX AND INNER BOX , AND OF THE DAMAGED ITEM WOULD BE REQUIRED. WITHOUT THESE PICS, YOU WILL NOT GET A REFUND IF I CAN NOT PROCESS THE CLAIM - YOUR HELP IS REQUIRED. THIS IS PART OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITY WHEN IT COMES TO DAMAGE. I PACKAGE TO THE VERY BEST OF MY ABILITIES BUT SOMETIMES THINGS HAPPEN THAT ARE OUT OF OUR CONTROL.
