    Description

    This instrument appears to have been well taken care for and it works very well. It does not come with a rechargeable lithium battery. It must be connected to AC power with the included power supply in order to work. I recently sent it out to Trescal and paid around 0 for calibration. The only thing wrong with it is it doesn't keep proper date & time unless it's plugged to power and the right side of the LCD seems brighter than the left side.I believe it only does this when in measuring mode. I suspect it's always been this way but I really don't know. This is my 2nd unit and my other one did this too. It does not interfere with operation of the unit. The unit will come with an aftermarket power supply, Bird OEM carrying case and an aftermarket hard case. The 3 photos in measure match mode were taken without any OSL calibration loaded. This is to demonstrate the instrument measuring 3 completely different brands of high precision 50 ohm loads with the instrument OSL calibration turned off.
    When I enlarge some of the photos it looks very grainy on my computer. It does not look like this when operating the instrument.
    This unit does NOT come with a lithium battery and requires AC power to work. It should also be noted that I spent some time looking online and I was not able to source a replacement battery. It's the only reason I decided to sell it. I need something with a battery. It does NOT come with ANY open-short-load devices. All OSL, RF loads and anything else shown in my photos were for demonstration purposes only and are not included with this sale.
    This sale will include only a good working Bird
    SA-1700EX, soft carrying case, aftermarket hard case, aftermarket power supply and a current certificate of calibration. The hard case is fairly large and adds a bit of weight. As a result, I am nearly certain shipping will cost me more than I am asking for. Thanks so much for looking and let me know if you have any questions.
