    Description

    Cassette Deck Speed Calibration Tape.
    We make our tapes on a custom modified Yamaha KX-E100 and our own digital tone generator.  Our tapes test accurately to within 4hz at 3,150hz.
    3,150hz sine wave, 8 minutes.
    To use our tape, connect your frequency counter or multi meter to the line out on the back of the deck.  Adjust the playback speed to 3,150hz ± 30hz.
    This tape can only be used to make speed adjustments.  DO NOT use this tape for any other tests or adjustments.  It will intentionally give the wrong result on anything other than speed adjusting.  There are hidden artifacts within the test tone designed to throw off every adjustment except for speed.  Do not use this tape to align your heads, it will not work.
