Vintage Globe Trotter Single leather Strap Suitcase w Pan Am Security VGC!

Description

You are bidding on a Vintage Globe Trotter Single leather Strap Suitcase with Pan Am Security Stickers in Very Good Condition.  This suitcase was made in England and  features a Brown hard shell exterior with two keyed latches (no key) and a single horizontal leather strap / buckle closure.  The "Globe Trotter, British Made" logo is embossed on both sides.  The interior features a single compartment with 2 functioning garment straps that have the "GLOBE TROTTER" name embroidered across the strap.  The interior is completely lined with a cream colored fabric.  The exterior does the original owner's name "CAROE" stenciled just below the handle.

Established in 1897, Globe trotter cases are synonymous with the Golden Age of travel. And to this day, the shape and style of many of their products remain unchanged. All cases are made by hand in England.  Possibly their most timeless and enduring innovation is Vulcanised Fibreboard. An unfathomable feat of strength that is yet to be imitated successfully and has kept Globe Trotter cases incredibly strong but impossibly lightweight for 123 years and counting.
Condition (see pictures):
This case is in great vintage condition.  The leather strap in intact with some creasing but it is solid with no rot. No rips, tears or odors.  There is some light scuffing and scratches (nothing deep) and light oxidation on hardware (see pics).  There old Pan Am security labels and a name sticker on the case that can be remove, but I thought the case looked more interesting with them.  Look at the pictures and judge for yourself, this is a fantastic piece of vintage luggage in great shape.
