WWII LEGION OF MERIT SILVER PLANCHET - EARLY WAR ISSUE

Description

Here we have an early World War II U.S. Legion of Merit Planchet that is in excellent condition. The obverse is with the early style, thickly applied enamel. The wreath is with the very dark, forest green enamel and the borders of the arms feature the deep red/maroon enamel. In addition, it has the small diameter silver jumper ring passing through the upper loop of the top arm. The reverse is unnamed. All enamel work is pristine and undamaged. A nice, early example that remains in excellent and undamaged condition.
