In 1943 this was the most comprehensive collection of US Military Insignia ever published. This collection was compiled by Arthur E. Du Bois, for the National Geographic, it comes in two issues and has 105 pages of really detailed information, with over a thousand color images of insignia. The pictures are just a small sampling of the images. If you have any interest in military insignia, you should own these two books.
