Description

Here we have an exceptionally fine World War II U.S. Navy Submarine Warfare Officer’s Badge that remains in extremely fine condition. It exhibits sharp detail to the dolphins, boat, and waves at the bottom of the badge. The dolphin’s scales are crisp, with the tail fins being cut out. The gilt finish is 100% intact with a bright gold finish. The reverse is semi hollow and retains the functional pin and roller locking catch. It measures 2¾ inches from end to end and is unmarked. A fine-looking example as awarded to officers of the elite and highly perilous Silent Service during the Second World War.
